Preservation Hall Jazz Band at Musco Center

On Friday, September 27, at 7:30 p.m., the Musco Center for the Arts will host the acclaimed Preservation Hall Jazz Band (PHJB) for an unforgettable evening. Known for their joyful and timeless performances, PHJB is dedicated to preserving the art of New Orleans jazz. Their shows are guaranteed to be lively and exhilarating, showcasing the vibrant spirit of this iconic genre.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band draws from New Orleans' rich musical heritage, incorporating influences ranging from Afro-Cuban rhythms to the revolutionary sounds of Afrobeat by Fela Kuti, as well as the groundbreaking Fire Music of Pharoah Sanders and John Coltrane. The band continues to engage with contemporary music scenes, having shared stages with legends such as Stevie Wonder, and modern giants like the Black Keys, Beck, and the Foo Fighters at major festivals from Coachella to Newport.

This performance promises to be a celebration of jazz that blends historical depth with modern flair, making it a must-see event for music enthusiasts.

Tickets and more information, at muscocenter.org.

Musco Center for the Arts is located at 415 North Glassell in Orange, CA.
